MEET RANDY
The name Chester and York counties can trust to fight for conservative, common sense values and new jobs.
Randy Ligon brings over 30 years of experience as a farmer, commercial realtor, businessman, and auctioneer, with deep roots in Chester County, South Carolina, where he has lived most of his life.
Elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 2018, Randy has since been re-elected in 2020, 2022, and 2024. In the 2024 election cycle, he gave an early endorsement to President Donald Trump, who, in turn, endorsed Randy in the June primary.
A proud Clemson University alumnus (Class of '82) and graduate of the Missouri School of Auctioneering, Randy was named Grand Champion Auctioneer by the South Carolina Auctioneers Association in 2017. He is also a past president of the association and remains actively involved in the Charlotte Regional Commercial Board of Realtors, NAA, and SCAA. His leadership history includes serving as South Carolina Young Farmers Association State President in 1996, and since 1994, he has been a committed member of the Chester Rotary Club. Additionally, he has held roles as President and Treasurer of the Rock Hill Sertoma Club.
Randy’s professional background extends to finance, having served as a trust officer and city executive with South Carolina National Bank and First Union National Bank. Today, he is a highly respected benefit auctioneer, known for raising millions for charitable causes. His approach, grounded in traditional values and integrity, is a hallmark of his professional and personal life.
Randy and his wife, Jeannie—a school psychologist and director of special services for Chester County schools for over 25 years—are dedicated members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill. Together, they have two grown children and have been married for almost 40 years.
